Christmas Adopt a Family Program
Sharing the love of Christ through the giving of Christmas gifts to children in need in our community.
Due to some unforeseen circumstances, No Heart Left Behind has had to make some adjustments to our Christmas Adopt a Family Program for 2023.
BUT GOD IS SO GOOD!
This year, we are so excited to announce that No Heart Left Behind will be partnering with the nonprofit organization Northshore Enduring Hope for our annual Adopt a Family community outreach program. Northshore Enduring Hope, founded by Doree and Rob Kelly, operates a resource center in Mandeville and serves local foster, adoptive, birth, and kinship families in need. The staff at Enduring Hope work closely with the Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) and the Methodist Children’s Home providing much needed resources to the children and families they serve.
Partnering with Enduring Hope means that the families we “adopt” this year will be those who are connected to this organization. The names and wish lists will be provided by case workers with DCSF and representatives from the children’s home.
INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING IN ADOPT A FAMILY?
There are two ways by which you can participate:
ADOPT A FAMILY: You will be assigned your desired number of foster children and given a list that includes clothing sizes, interests, wish list items, etc. Individuals and/or groups then provide whatever items they are able to for that family based on their information. (While we operate on a “do what you can” basis, family adoption typically involves anywhere from 3-5 gifts per child)
FINANCIAL DONATION: Make a financial donation that will be used by the NHLB & Enduring Hope staff to purchase gifts for children in need. Along with this, in an effort to support one of our referral organizations for families who have participated in our program in years past, a small portion of the financial proceeds will be directed to Community Church Covington Campus’s Adopt a Child program.

***Gifts need to be dropped off at Northshore Enduring Hope between December 4th-6th anytime between 8:30am-12:30pm.
