From a husband who came into the ministry  with his wife for marriage counseling:

“Abby, I want you to know that I have been to several marriage conferences that at the time gave me hope for my marriage, but they left me with little support afterwards. NHLB is remarkably different. Your ministry has pointed me to the Word and the life of Christ as an example of how I am to live my life to honor my heavenly father and my wife. Because of the deep scars on my heart that had festered for nearly 45 years, I was not open to receive the word and was constantly stumbling. Abby, you and your ministry team never abandoned me, even when I fell off the proverbial deep end and nearly ruined my marriage. I was completely broken and I know God was waiting there for me with open arms through the ministry of NHLB. Thank you, Abby, for walking  me slowly back to stable ground and being  there unselfishly every step of the way for my wife and I. You have been an amazing, faithful servant of Christ. You were always there when I stumbled, giving me the Word of God as a basis for my healing.  I realize that this is a life-long process, with progress and setbacks, with the promise of salvation in Jesus Christ.  I will forever be grateful for the NHLB ministry, and now commit to giving my time to assist in any way that I can. This ministry is so much greater than any one individual; it is a reflection of Christ living through his people.”

Another couple wrote:

“We want you to know how much we appreciate all NHLB has done for our family through your ‘adopt a family’ program. You have blessed us tremendously. The impact that you have had on us spiritually has caused us to come to know Christ more intimately and grow together as husband and wife. We are forever grateful to all of the wonderful people in your ministry.”

What others wrote about NHLB:

“We are glad we can support such a relevant ministry.”

“The ministry has helped me see myself as God sees me.”

“No Heart Left Behind gave me a rope of hope to hang onto.”

“Thank you. You are so sweet and kind and have been such an inspiration in my life. I know I have lots to learn, and am looking forward to learning more about God and the Bible and living with the Beloved in my heart. Thank you for seeing the good in me and bringing it to the surface so I can see the good in me.”

“I heard you speak at Peoples Baptist Church last Saturday and I just wanted you to know how very much I enjoyed it. The scriptures that you gave were an encouragement to me in this stage of my life. I have been struggling with some things; mainly the 20 year old in college wanting total independence and my 79 year old mother with whom I’ve reversed roles. She’s the child and I am the mother. It’s a fun thing, and all the while, I am going through menopause. However, the Lord is good and he will give grace and strength for each challenge. We had revival at our church (not People’s) last week and I attended every night. He was an OK preacher , but I got more out of what you had to say in the short amount of time allotted you on Saturday morning than I did out of the revival speaker all week. I pray the Lord continues to bless your ministry. May you be blessed for your labor of love!”

“Dear Abby and Alicia,

I just wanted to thank you both for your efforts in making our retreat: Extreme Makeover : Heart Edition such a resounding success. I have been to several women retreats and conferences and this one was by far the best I had ever been to. It was so wonderful to see a mother and daughter work so closely together and give God the glory. Your insights on the Word and how to apply it to your life were refreshing and thought provoking. Thank you for all your hard work and prayers that you lifted up for the women who attended.”
